The Blue Chip Enterprise Initiative is a program to honor small firms that have overcome external and internal challenges. Profiles of the six 1999 winners are presented. They include Findett Corp, East Coast Petroleum Corp, Toledo Metal Spinning Co, United Bank of Philadelphia, B&J Machine & Tool Inc and Old Biscayne Designs.

The Blue Chip Enterprise Award was given to 170 small businesses in 1997 to recognize their success in overcoming challenges. The goal of the award is to help small businesses learn from each other's experiences.
