Microsoft seeks 'flame mail' at Netscape
Article Abstract:
Microsoft Corp. has called for "flame mail" messages from Netscape Communications Corp. in an attempt to outdo its rival at an antitrust trial scheduled for September 1998. Microsoft has subpoenaed international electronic forums that are operated by Netscape workers. This move suggests the strategy that the software giant might take at the September 23, 1998 trial. One of these forums is utilized to express indignation about such things as working conditions and cafeteria food.

Microsoft asks judge to bar new charges
Article Abstract:
Microsoft Corp. claimed that the US government is attempting to revise its antitrust lawsuit against the software giant only weeks before the trial. The company requested a federal judge to either remove any new charges or to postpone the trial again. The trial is scheduled to start in the middle of September 1998. Microsoft asserted that the government is creating a "kitchen sink monstrosity" by expanding its charges without giving any warning.
