Michael Parisi, managing director of Festival Mushroom Records believes that in partnership with the marketing corporation record companies will oversee all aspects of an artist's career including song publishing, management and merchandising.

Farnham's $13-million roast

Glenn Wheatley, manager of Australian singer John Farnham, has been careful with the image of the 50 year-old entertainer. Wheatley designed the management and marketing of Farnham to maintain his appeal. Farnham's most recent tour, "I Can't Believe I'm 50," was supported by a television commercial and a print ad poking fun at his age. Total sales of the tour grossed more than $13 million.
