Polish genocide orders revealed

The Russian government on Oct 14, 1992, released documents revealing that former Soviet head Joseph Stalin had ordered the killing of over 20,000 Polish prisoners in Mar 1949. The prisoners included over 4,000 Polish military officers, whose bodies were discovered buried in the Katyn Forest of Belarus.

Genocide trial site, prosecutor named
Article Abstract:
Arusha, Tanzania, was selected by the United Nations Security Council as the site for prosecuting war criminals from Rwanda. Genocide is the most common charge of the accused. More than 500,000 members of the Hutu and Tutsi tribes were killed in the country from Apr 1994 to Jul 1994.

Genocide trial opens, stalls
Article Abstract:
The genocide trials in Rwanda of at least 30,000 people suspected of taking part in the massacre of 500,000 people have begun. The massacres took place in Rwanda in 1994 following a plane crash which killed the presidents of Burundi and Rwanda.
