Archbishop Juan Jesus Posadas Ocampo was killed during shooting related to drugs in the Guadalajara, Mexico, airport. Posadas Ocampo apparently was mistaken for reputed Sinaloa drug-cartel head Joaquin Guzman Loera, who was arrested by authorities.

Medellin cocaine cartel leader escapes

Pablo Escobar broke out of a Colombian prison on Jul 22, 1992. Escobar, reputed chief of the Medellin drug cartel, had surrendered to the Colombian government in 1991 following a guarantee that he would not be extradited to the US.
