The Labor Dept reported that the finished-goods index did not increase from Apr 1995 to May 1995. However, the 'core' producer price index, which omits figures from food and energy, rose 0.3% in May 1995. Prices for intermediate goods increased 0.2%.

The Labor Dept reported that the finished-goods index declined by 0.1% from Jul, 1995, to Aug 1995. However, the 'core' index, which excludes food and energy prices, rose 0.1%. The price of intermediate goods remained the same.
