River Rafting Companies Grow with the Flow
Article Abstract:
River running down the Colorado River used to be done only by outdoorsmen looking for adventure, but now twenty companies compete for the $12 million spent by 15,000 people each year who enjoy a trip down the river. These comapnies are strictly regulated by the National Park Service, which allots user days to each company, and sets up the rules under which these companies can operate. The trip itself is extremely rugged, and can take up to three weeks. Although a lot of money is spent on these trips, costs are high, and the companies operating the trips appear to be in the business more because of their love of the river than their love of money. The author's experience with a trip from the Arizona Raft Adventures (AZRA) company is described, along with some specifics about other trips available.

Who Do You Ask about Buying a Computer?
Article Abstract:
Anyone in the market for a computer no matter how large or small or varied their needs, can for $289 find out what hardware and software is best for them. This is the assertion of Howard Roberts who started his Dynaquest Company precisely to fulfill such a need for advice about computer selection. The system uses a computer which asks many specific questions designed to pinpoint factors about the company which will determine what type of hardware and software is best suited for that company. Roberts claims his company provides the same type of service that a consultant would charge a minimum of one thousand dollars for, and the service caught on so well in test markets that it is now being offered on a national scale.
