Comshare: expanding the third dimension
Article Abstract:
Comshare CEO Wallace Wrathall believes that controllers should act as the chief information provider in their companies. Instead of concentrating on information technology, as what chief information officers usually do, controllers should devise ways to effectively manage information. This means that their responsibilities will no longer be related to fiduciary concerns but will also encompass business advocacy for the company. Wrathall states that his company is well-equipped to help controllers perform these duties in the best manner possible. He is confident that its decision support software products and professional services can be profitably used by controllers and their companies. Wrathall explains that Comshare's decision support offerings will enable controllers to organize data in a way that facilitates good decision making.
