Pres Clinton's selections to head the Departments of Treasury, Defense and State were approved in the Senate Jan 20, 1993, by a voice vote attended by only 18 senators. The selections were respectively: Lloyd Bentsen, Les Aspin and Warren Christopher. Other appointees are profiled.
