The chief executive of broadcast television at Seven Network, David Leckie, intends to convert Seven broadcasting network into a clone of his former employer, Nine Network. This would not be favorable for advertisers and for the free-to-air TV industry in general, where any reduction in the diversity of programming on free-to-air TV would push more viewers to pay TV, which is now found in 22% of Australian homes.
