Article Abstract:
The federal deficit and trade deficit are continuing to mount and are expected to continue to race in the coming years. Federal spending forecasts have been revised upwards by the Office of Management and Budget. The strategies of Federal Reserve to contain the deficit and the fiscal policy are discussed.
