Size of investment, opportunity choice and human resources in new venture growth: some typologies
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to analyze the interplay of resources, opportunities and capabilities in new venture growth in North India. A typology of new venture growth was developed using human capital as a resource that include an empathetic leadership style, the presence of entrepreneurial groups and the use of supervisory resources or family labor. Results indicate that the range of opportunity choice and growth potential may be limited by access to resources. Because of these limits, managerial capability in relation to human resources could be more important than previously recognized.

Factors affecting equity capital acquisition: the demand side
Article Abstract:
Success in capital sourcing depends on the characteristics of the entrepreneurs, enterprise, requests and sources of funding advice. Entrepreneurs in high technology industries are more successful in acquiring large amounts of financial support. Aggressive, but less experienced, businessmen are also more apt to receive funding than older entrepreneurs if they are willing to part with a higher percentage of their income. Businessmen who take their proposals directly to non-venture investors similarly are most successful in getting equity capital.
