Spectrum sale shows telcos continue to be optimistic

Greater competition among telecommunications services companies enables customers to obtain better customer service and lower rates. The Australian Federal Government got $350 million from spectrum band auctions for personal communications systems held in Apr-May 1998. All but 19 of the spectrum lots were sold during this time period.
