Sprint says earnings will miss forecasts
Article Abstract:
Sprint Corp. warned of weaker third-quarter earnings, sending its stock down 5.4% on the news. The company reported that its wireless unit would pull in 800,000 new cellular-telephone customers, 100,000 less than expected. Sprint was also hurt by cutting off more delinquent customers than usual. Investors are becoming anxious about the health of the wireless industry. Sprint predicts its core business will have 45 to 47 cents a share.
