Staff values as enablers for change--sustainability 'volunteering'
Article Abstract:
The impacts of personal values, motivation and volunteering on creating organizational change for sustainablity are investigated. It was observed that managers can help build enthusiasm among the lower levels, and that all of the organization's members have the potential to generate change. Organizational change at HSBC and MWH are explored.

The rhythms of organisational life
Article Abstract:
Identifying the key rhythms of a company and its employees can be helpful in understanding how individuals work. The organisational rhythms are called flowing, staccato, chaos, lyrical and moving stillness. An individual's rhythmic response to particular activities can be gauged. Rhythms can play an important role in the planning process.

The meaning of sustainable in different contexts is explained. It was found out that the definition of sustainable development in itself is influential to organizational change. Sustainable development as a values-level concept is analyzed.
