Stand by for some good reports
Article Abstract:
Most industrial sectors of Australia, with the notable exception of the resources industry, have grown an average of 7% during 1998-99 because of cost cutting and low inflation and interest rates. The telecommunications sector is on track for earnings growth of 12-15% in 1999-2000. The Reserve Bank of Australia forecasts a continued Australian economic growth of 3-4% for the rest of 1999. Such growth has been possible because of an inflation rate of under 2%.
