Supply Chain Management in a global economy
Article Abstract:
The important role-played by the entire supply chain management (SCM), including procurement, logistics and distribution, for ensuring a consistently high degree of customer satisfaction in terms of quality, delivery and cost in a global economy are discussed. The examples from the Middle East and South Asia are used to explain how the objective of excellence in business performance and quality management (QM) is attained without substantive investment by following the basic principle and concepts of SCM and QM.
