Team building is not enough!
Article Abstract:
An overview of how Northumbrian Water (UK), subsidiary of Suez Lyonnaise des Eaux, turned to systems thinking and the complexity sciences when it became disenchanted with the outcomes of traditional team building strategies. The implementation of these new strategies has been felt across the company, resulting in the business delivering efficiencies totalling over 25% of operating costs and leading the way in all measures of customer service during the period between April 1999 and March 2000.
