Business school professors Shane Greenstein, Elinor Hobbs and Wendell Hobbs conducted a study to determine the impact of urban environment on process improvements. The reason for such effect is the thick labor markets found in urban cities. Other results of the study are presented.

Consumers pick products at the extreme ends when options are nonaligned, but with aligned options, they tend to pick at the middle. Marketers should take advantage of this phenomenon.
