The contribution of formal planning systems to strategic investment decisions
Article Abstract:
A study has been carried out of 38 companies in Greece, and how they make strategic investment decisions. The study has focused on the link between these decisions to formal planning systems and has found that decisions are made in a systematic way when formal planning is used. Decisions tend to be characterised by rationality with systematic reporting. Formal planning systems can have an impact on strategy through influencing how decisions are made.

Market orientation and company performance: empirical evidence from UK companies
Article Abstract:
A study has been carried out of market orientation and its links with company performance in the UK. Environmental factors may thus be an important variable in determining the impact of market orientation, and these factors vary according to national business cultures.
