''The elimination of congestion''? We're getting to that
Article Abstract:
A 1940 General Motors film, To New Horizons, envisaged a safe distance between cars maintained by automatic radio control and the elimination of congestion and the elimination of interference from all various converging motorways. Although the elimination of congestion remains pure fantasy, GPS instruments aid in navigation while Lexus's Pre-Collision System has a radar sensor that monitors the speed and distance of the vehicle and automatically increases breaking power if a collision is imminent.

Picturephones: The gimme technology that wasn't
Article Abstract:

"What does she buy?" Lean, tasteless pork
Article Abstract:
American housewife shops at the supermarket's meat case where she chooses a chicken over the ham slice with all the fat and the pork chops with lean meat. This shows that the pork industry has lost another sale and to avoid this situation, farmers need to start producing leaner hogs but the problem is that fat tastes really good while lean pigs do not.
