The growing pains of becoming entrepreneurial
Article Abstract:
It is important to make a distinction between management training, which helps people to deal with their management problems, and management development, which develops people so that they are in a better position to deal with their management difficulties by themselves. Companies seeking help with management training must decide whether they want specific job training, personal management development with the aim of organizational change or the development of the whole company and help for managers in tackling new challenges.

SEC's insider trading enforcements and target firms' stock values
Article Abstract:
A model is developed to assess the effectivity of SEC's sanctions on insider trading. The model was developed to study the extent of the sanction's effect on stock prices of firms targetted for sanctions. Results show that insider trading enforcements have the ability to reduce the stock prices of a target firm. The lowering of stock prices is interpreted by a number of factors: loss of confidence on the target firm and added expenses in terms of litigation and investigation costs that affect a firm's potential earnings.
