The transformation of Andre Dubus
Article Abstract:
The writings of author Andre Dubus took on a greater turn after he suffered an accident that left him in a wheelchair in 1987. His works took on greater depth as he was freed of his fears, and he infused more religious aspects into them as well. He did not yield to his suffering, but grew from it, which is demonstrated in his later works.
