Threat to Hard Assets
Article Abstract:
Art and collectibles have begun to be popular with investors in the latter half of 1983. Investors and dealers in hard assets have formed a trade association, the Industry Council for Tangible Assets (ICTA). But there has been an increasing proliferation of government regulations designed to discourage investing in hard assets. Hard assets are still recovering from a drop in values that occurred after a rally in 1980.
