Article Abstract:
A number of project managers frequently use nontraditional project management instruments such as the Microsoft Excel over the traditional types. There is a wide variety of project management instruments available to the project manager in handling various project management tasks. Project managers prefer using the nontraditional tools compared to the traditional tools. Moreover, project managers frequently use the Microsoft Project. Project managers also expressed a high level of satisfaction with the various project management instruments currently available in the market.

Comparative analysis of resource-allocation capabilities of project management software packages
Article Abstract:
An evaluation of the different project management software packages is imperative for project managers who generally wish to utilize the software which has the most resource-allocation capabilities. A comparative analysis of such software can be accomplished via identification of widely used software. This can be followed by testing using sample problems and then ranking according to its resource-allocation capability. Test results can be analyzed through error analysis and paired-regression analysis.
