The works of John Gay, Executive Chairman of the Tasmanian Forest Products and Merchandising Company Gunn's are discussed. Through various strategic acquisitions, John Gay made the old private, Gunn's family-owned Launceston company public in 1986, and has built it to be one among the top-100 companies on the Australian Stock Exchange.
