Two speed economy
Article Abstract:
The return on shareholders' funds (ROSF) of the companies listed on Business Review Weekly 1000 are discussed. While the top 30 companies have performed well with the ROSF being 13.3%, top 1000 companies have a ROSF of just 8.5%. The reasons behind the poor performance of many companies, international comparisons with other companies and outstanding performance by some others have been presented.

Lucky breaks, big mistakes
Article Abstract:
An analysis of the BRW Fast 100 companies shows that quite a few of these highly successful companies started with an initial capital outlay of less than Aus$5000 and quite a few were lucky enough to start on the right foot. Examples of companies like Mor Cosmetics, Extreme Networks and Hotshed are discussed. The essentials of fast growth of companies are analyzed and listed.
