'Discovery' flies atmospheric mission

'Ulysses' flies by Jupiter

The unmanned spacecraft Ulysses flew within 235,000 miles of Jupiter's cloud tops on its voyage to the Sun on Feb 8, 1992. The spacecraft took readings of the planet's ring of sulfur and oxygen atoms.
