Save the flophouse
Article Abstract:
A reporter describes his night in a flophouse on New York City's Bowery. The place is warm and secure, but it may no longer be in operation after 1996. The crusade for the poor by various agencies that cannot themselves offer housing for the poor, are stifling the flophouses with restrictive laws.
