When the DIPP dips: a P & L index for project decisions
Article Abstract:
Devaux's Index of Project Performance (DIPP) is formulated to give managers a decision support system that is easily comprehensible and implementable. This method prioritizes the difference between the total projected sales and the estimate-to-complete, as demonstrated by three realistic problems. Four other variables are also significant. The DIPP helps managers see the project from an overall view by converting deceiving data into useful information, separating financial numbers from other considerations, tying product development with the marketplace and serving as an early warning indicator.

A decision support system for predicting project success
Article Abstract:
A Project Success Predictor Model is devised to support decision makers in predicting the success of proposed or existing NASA projects at any stage in their systems engineering life cycle. The system's methodology, whose details are presented, applies Delphi inquiry, multilinear regression analysis, and nonparametric statistical ranking and scoring techniques such as Kendall's Coefficient of Concordance. This results in a predictor equation each for manned and unmanned space projects. This model is especially important considering the space program's transitional period.
