Pune has become the country's auto capital with companies like Telco, Bajaj Auto Ltd, Kinetic Engineering and Daimler Benz having made a base in the city. The city is also a home to many engineering units like the Kirloskar group, Mannesmann Dematic, Alfa Laval and Krupp Industries India. The government of Maharashtra is setting up an information technology park in Pune over an area of 100 acres. There are already about 100 software development firms in the city. (khr) paign. It has also added six different fits for men and three for women in various fabric finishes. It has reduced the price of its T-shirts to Rs345 from Rs395 and yarn-dyed shirts to Rs545 from Rs685. It is also starting a new advertising campaign, created by McCann Erickson of Bangalore, which can relate to the Indian mentality. The company, which has 56 outlets in 26 cities, also plans to introduce more non-denim products. (khr)

Upgrading and niche usage of PC operating systems
Article Abstract:
The various factors that contribute to a firm's decision for standardizing the operating system and upgrading the OS of same family are addressed. It is found that most of the IT firms use niche systems than going for upgradation. Microsoft's operating system is used for the purpose of the study.
