A blend of good and bad
Article Abstract:
Winemakers in southwestern Ontario are enjoying high patronage in their home province, but are facing problems in international markets. Aggravating the local wine industry's export problems is a ban from Europe on Canadian wines starting Apr 1, 1999. On the bright side, the industry is expanding and is expected to grow 2% annually. Moreover, the Wine Coucil of Ontario and the VQA have started their promotional campaign aimed at increasing market share and educating consumers.
