A new family of recovery units
Article Abstract:
TEAM has introduced a family of equipment for the recovery of disabled and crashed aircraft with fuselage diameters ranging from 2.4m and 7.3m. For aircraft recovery, the company has created a towing unit that can move 80 tons which acts as a base to the temporary wing support taking loads up to 60 tons in place of the rear undercarriage. it has two types of lifting vehicle for towing disabled aircraft, namely, the V-1 for single-axle undercarriages and the V-2 which is used for double or triple undercarriages.

Faster boarding
Article Abstract:
FMT of Sweden has unveiled a new Over The Wing (OTW) passenger boarding bridge that would allow for faster turnaround on Boeing 737 and Airbus A319-321 aircraft. The OTW bridge complies with NFPA 415 and is fully automatic, with laser range finders to ensure that the bridge stops in the correct position. Southwest Airlines is already using the bridge at Dallas-Love Field and Austin International Airport, allowing passengers to disembark from aircraft within four minutes.

Goldhofer takes stock of the family business
Article Abstract:
Goldhofer has transformed its corporate status into a joint stock company, called Goldhofer Aktiengesellschaft. The German family-owned manufacturer is also transferring the entire company stock to the 'Alois Goldhofer Foundation.' The structural change is expected to allow the firm to continue to operate independently, maintain the family name and facilitate the provision of capital for meeting future growth strategies.
