The group of Italian bidders promises to carry out a restructuring plan agreed between the management of Moto Guzzi and trade unions in July 1999. It involves the increase of motorbike production from 7,000 to 20,000 per year within five years and the reduction of workforce from 260 to 310 by early retirement.
