Article Abstract:
The new /German government's employment policy is much different than the previous government's employment policy and is at odds with advice offered by international organizations. The policy, whose basic premise is that much of Germany's unemployment results from low aggregate monetary demand, will aggravate long-term structural problems identified by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development and other organisations.
