A review of stochastic modelling of delay and capacity at unsignalized priority intersections
Article Abstract:
The use of stochastic models of delay and capacity in analyzing traffic flow can improve vehicular traffic management. Field research shows that in light traffic conditions, stochastic models can give reasonable estimates of the delay in or capacity of minor vehicular movement. In heavy traffic conditions, models that consider time-varying aspects of the vehicle flow are more appropriate. A review of stochastic modelling of delay and capacity at unsignalized priority intersections is presented.

Minimizing the weighted number of tardy jobs and maximum tardiness in relocation problem with due date constraints
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to investigate the job relocation problem in relation to a re-development project in South Boston, MA, where a reconstruction sequence for a set of old buildings was required. It was shown that there would be adequate temporary housing space to accommodate displaced residents during building rehabilitation. It is also of theoretical interest to study the relocation problem with different constraints or under different conditions.
