What price housing reform in Hong Kong?
Article Abstract:
The housing reform set by the Hong Kong government has defeated the purpose of the housing program by ignoring the country's urban poor and unfairly burdening the country's taxpayers. Hong Kong's directives to stop speculation that drives up housing prices could be a misdirected attempt and the government should, instead, sell its own land to private developers so as to let the free market handle the housing problem.
