IMPORT DUTIES ON POWER EQUIPMENT MAY GO
Article Abstract:
The Ministry of Power has proposed abolition of the prevailing import duties on power equipment used for power projects. Currently imported power equipment attract a duty of around 22 percent. The move if finalised, will benefit power generating firms and the consumers. The proposal will to be finalised during budget session. (gs)(psr)
