BancPost of Romania conducts negotiations with Banco Portugues de Investimento and units of General Electric Co. of the US regarding the sale of a 45% interest in BancPost's operations. Privatization regulators with Romania's State Ownership Fund disclosed that final talks on the sale of the 45% stake at BancPost will be conducted by the end of November 1998. An 8% stake will be divested to the workers of BancPost and a 10% stake will be offered to the public in a stock offering.

Deutsche Bank reveals Nazi link
Article Abstract:
Deutsche Bank AG confirmed that it aided with the financing of the Auschwitz concentration camp's construction. The admission could create problems for the company's regulatory approval of its deal to purchase Bankers Trust Corp. According to Deutsche Bank's historian, the bank financed several companies that were directed to construct the Auschwitz camp in Poland. Over 1.5 million Jews were killed in the camp during World War Two.
