AILING RPRL TO MERGE WITH GREAVES, SWAP TO BE 50:1
Article Abstract:
The Rs31 crore Rajasthan Polymers and Resins Ltd (RPRL) is to be merged with its Indian parent, the Thapar Group company Greaves Ltd. The valuers have suggested a ratio of 50 shares of RPRL per Greaves' share. Greaves and the Russian company Technochim & Ammophos hold 25 percent stakes each, while RIICO holds nine percent and financial institutions hold three percent. RPRL incurred a net loss of Rs11.44 crore on sales of Rs42.81 crore in the half year ended September 30, 1998. The merger, which proposes an investment of Rs32.34 crore to make up cash losses and capital expenditure, has been prepared by Industrial Development Bank of India. (nr)

MK INDIA LAUNCHES CABLE MANAGEMENT IN HYDERABAD
Article Abstract:
MK India, a subsidiary of Caradon MK Electric, introduced its cable management network in Hyderabad on September 23, 1998. The company has already launched the network, which enables efficient handling of wires and cables for power outlets, in Delhi, Bangalore and Chennai. The network is available in three models - Powerlink, Premier and Norwich - and provide flexibility in positioning multiple services like fax, modems, computers and electrical instruments. (khr)
