RPG IN PACT WITH SEARLE TO RETAIN BRAND NAME
Article Abstract:
GD Searle & Co (GSC) of US has signed a pact with RPG Enterprises. The pact allows Searle (India) Ltd (SIL), a pharmaceutical company of the RPG group, to use GSC's product brand names for the next 50 years. SIL will have the access to name licence, technology and Searle trademark. It will also produce and market products like Aldactide, Aldactone, Norpace, Lomofen and Lomotil up to May 31, 2048. As per the pact, SIL can conduct the business under its current name till December 31, 1999. The licence has a provision to extended it till December 31, 2003. (ag-psr)

NAL, K'TAKA UDYOG MITRA IN TECH TRANSFER PACT
Article Abstract:
A technical agreement has been signed between National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL) and Karnataka Udyog Mitra to showcase NAL's technologies for transfer. Some of these technologies include the process for synthesis of high purity alumina suitable for manufacture of electronic ceramics and technical ceramics, process for making low density alumina hydrate fillers for papers and printing ink industry and integrally geared multi-stage industrial centrifugal compressor package for oil free plant air supply. RAMCO, EIL IN PACT TO OFFER ERP SOLUTIONS

Engineers India Ltd (EIL) has signed a strategic pact with Ramco Systems of Chennai, a software producer. The pact is aimed at offering enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions to the international market. EIL is setting up a Ramco Marshal competence centre in Delhi. It plans to integrate manufacturing enabling solutions with Ramco ERP. The two companies plan to combine their strengths to provide cost effective and comprehensive services to potential clients.
