ANZ builds on its strengths

Financial manager Mark Patterson has joined the London branch of Australian and New Zealand-based ANZ Investment Bank in 1998, after having worked for Deutsche Morgan Grenfell (DMG) Hong Kong since 1986. Patterson will be responsible for global corporate finance, concentrating on Asia and the Middle East. Patterson will focus on markets such as telecommunications and aircraft within targetted countries, claiming ANZ's main strength is its ability to build on the debt market.

Deutsche hopes to be beneficiary of Trust
Article Abstract:
Bankers Trust, recently integrated into Deutsche Bank, retains its leading position in the Acquisitions Monthly lead debt arrangers table for 1991 to 1998. The company lent 4.3 billion pounds sterling to 15 major deals during the period. The UK's leading debt arranger in 1998 was Chase Manhattan, lending just over 2 billion pounds sterling to 10 buyouts.
