APP unveils losses from derivatives, reveals debt total

Asia Pulp and Paper Co. has lost $220 million on two derivatives contracts with Deutsche Bank AG, and it has announced its total debt to creditors as $13.4 billion. The Singapore-based company plans to raise funds through asset sales, but a restructuring plan will not be finalized until March 2002.
