AUSTRIA: GLASS PACKAGING SALES TO STAY UNCHANGED
Article Abstract:
Vetropack Austria and Stolzle-Oberglas expect their turnovers to remain unchanged at about Sch 2bn in 1999. Vetropack holds about 70% of the Austrian glass packaging market and Stolzle-Oberglas 5%. The rest is covered by imports. While in the drinks sector glass is increasingly being replaced by plastic, the food industry is using more glass in the packaging of e.g. oils, dressings and sauces.
