DENMARK: GROWTH IN EXPORTS TO SLOW DOWN
Article Abstract:
The latest analysis by the Danish Chamber of Commerce predicts that the Danish export growth is to drop from 10% in 1999 and 2000 to 3% in 2001 and 4.3% in 2002. Jens Brendstrup of the Danish Chamber of Commerce ascribes this to the recession in the US and Japan among other things. The foot-and-mouth disease could also entail negative consequences for Danish exports.

DENMARK: RECORD HIGH GROWTH IN EXPORTS
Article Abstract:
Danish exports reported a record high growth of 9.8% in fixed prices in 2000. This is the highest growth recorded since 1964 when the Danish Statistical Office started compiling data about exports. According to Danish Foreign Minister Mogens Lykketoft, this is a strong proof of Denmark's competitive power.
