AUSTRIA: KYOCERA TO DOUBLE MARKET SHARE
Article Abstract:
Kyocera of Japan aims to raise its share of the Austrian printer market from 5.4% to 10% in year 2000. In Germany it holds 15.3% of the market and is the second-biggest supplier after Hewlett-Packard. The latter is the market leader also in Austria, where it holds 37.6% of the market. Lexmark has a share of 21.1%, Brother 13.8%, Canon 4.3%, Oki and Xerox 4.1% each. Kyocera has set up a subsidiary in Austria through its European headquarters located in Germany.
