AV BIRLA BIGGIES REVERSE TREND

The bigger companies of the AV Birla group have recorded better performance during 1997-98, despite facing problems. Five big companies of the group posted an annual sales of over Rs100 crore, with Grasim Industries recording a 13 percent increase. Hindalco, another group company, posted a 27 percent rise in its net profit. BIRLA 3M LAUNCHES INNOVATIVE BUSINESS TOOL
Article Abstract:
A 3M-Innovation Centre is being set up at the Electronics City in Bangalore by Birla 3M. The centre will help show the customers how to use 3M's products and technologies. It will use its strength in technology, products, people and values to solve the problems of the customer. It will also be working with the marketing and sales team for studying the needs of the customers on a regular basis. It will be re-designing the product to meet needs of the customer. (ag)
