Aliachem wants to raise proceeds to more than 15 bil Kc by 2002
Article Abstract:
Aliachem (Prague, Czech Republic), chemical company, expects proceeds of 15.3 bil Kc and a profit of 800 mil Kc in 2002. Having nearly 8,000 employees, in 2002 the company should have a per-worker productivity of labour of about 670,000 Kc. In 1999 Aliachem expects proceeds of 13.3 bil Kc, a profit of 214 mil Kc and a productivity of labour of 370,000 Kc per worker. According to preliminary results, Aliachem saw a loss of 414 mil Kc in 1998. The share of its individual production plants, which had been independent firms by the end of 1998, in the 1998 result was as follows: Technoplast (Chropyne, Czech Republic) saw a loss of 272 mil Kc, Synthesia (Pardubice, Czech Republic) had a loss of 230 mil Kc, Fatra (Napajedla, Czech Republic) generated a profit of 44 mil Kc, Moravske chemicke zavody (MCHZ) (Ostrava, Czech Republic) had a profit of 40 mil Kc, and FSG (Zlin, Czech Republic) saw a profit of 4 mil Kc. Aliachem's 1998 proceeds totalled 11.7 bil Kc, 5.7 bil Kc of which were generated by Synthesia and 3 bil Kc by MCHZ. At present Aliachem has about 10,000 employees.

Aliachem is acquired by Agrobohemie
Article Abstract:
Aliachem (Prague, Czech Republic), chemical company, had a 49.25% stake acquired by Agrobohemie (Czech Republic) in 2000. Agrobohemie won the stake, which had been offered for sale by the trustee in bankruptcy of Chemapol Group (Czech Republic), over the state bank Konsolidacni banka (KOB) (Czech Republic). KOB did not manage to obtain the necessary CEK 1.4 bil from the government. Among others, since 2000 Aliachem has had an aniline and polyurethane joint venture with Borsodchem (Hungary).
