Continental wants to increase its turnover at its plant in Jicin

Continental Teves Czech Republic (CTCZ) (Jicin, Czech Republic), brake system manufacturer, expects a turnover of about 12 bil Kc in 2001. The sum is four times higher compared to 1999. The number of the firm's employees should increase to 375 by the end of 1999 and 780 persons by 2001 compared to the current 328 persons. CTCZ is a part of the concern Continental (Germany). The concern plans to transform its plant in Jicin into one of the largest European brake system plants.

Narex expects its turnover to increase

Narex (Ceska Lipa, Czech Republic), electrical tool manufacturer, expects its turnover to increase by 15% per year after 2000 compared to CEK 1 bil in 2000. The turnover growth should be supported by the assertation of the firm's products of the professional line Protool on foreign markets, mainly in Europe. The firm invests 8-9% of its turnover per year to maintain its competitiveness ability.
