Allianz to pay $540 million for Life USA

Allianz Life Insurance Co. of North America announced that it will acquire the 77% of Life USA Holding Inc. that it does not already own. Allianz Life will pay $540 million for the share. Allianz Life is a unit of Allianz AG Holdings, an insurance and financial-services firm based in Germany. The acquisition price comes out to $20.75 per share. Life USA is mainly a seller of fixed annuities.
